Tim and Novex tyres
We are proud that one of the best known names in the Dutch car sports and a Dakar driver, is sponsored by Novex tyres. In his private life, Tim had been driving for some time on Novex tyres, and had become very enthusiastic about the driving performance of the tyre.
“Novex tyres last well, even when compared with premium brands. I was very suprised at the broad target group supplied by this brand. These were good reasons for me to connect my name with the brand and to enter a partnership with Novex”.
The caravan season has started again! Tim Coronel is giving you some important tips! Did you know that caravan tyres should be inspected each year?
Caravan tyres can lose their roundness because they have stood still for so long. Caravan tyres can also dry out. This is a danger to traffic safety. A dried out tyre has a higher risk of bursting, especially with the heavy loading of caravans.
The service life of a caravan is a maximum of six years.
Your car only makes contact with the road on four points. Moreover, these contact points are as large as a palm.
That’s why I always say: “tyres are the basis for your car, they deserve your attention”.
“It is very dangerous to wear out your profile until the canvas is visible!” Replace your summer tyres at a profile depth of 1,6 mm and your winter tyres at a profile depth of 4 mm.
Never mount two different profiles onto one axle. You can however mount different profiles front and rear.
“So you always have two identical tyres mounted on each axle of your car!”
Check the tyre pressure regularly!
“Your car will run better (more grip), but it also makes a difference in fuel consumption!”
Have your tyres aligned! This also makes your car drive better and makes a difference in fuel consumption.
With good alignment, your tyres will wear more evenly / normally and last much longer.
Is it below 7º Celsius? Do not economize on safety, but have your tyres changed.
Winter tyres can significantly shorten the braking distance in winter conditions. Together with the special rubber composition, the sipes ensure there is optimum grip on the road, while the deeper grooves ensure that the water is channelled away properly. This prevents you from slithering and sliding all over the place. Also, your summer tyres stay good during winter storage, making them last longer! Novex has good winter tyres in its range, so don’t wait any longer and make an appointment with your Novex dealer!
